C A V E S is pleased to announce Elliptic Splits, an exhibition of new work by Scott Miles.
Scott Miles lives and works in Melbourne and has exhibited throughout Australia since 2006. Solo exhibitions include Nothing under the sun, West Space, Melbourne, Light falls through, Gertrude Contemporary, Melbourne, The problem of a colour wheel, Ryan Renshaw Gallery, Brisbane and Reasonable Doubt, TCB, Melbourne. Group exhibitions include Gertrude Artists 2014, Gertrude Contemporary, Melbourne and Endism, 24HR Art, Darwin. Miles was an artist in residence at Gertrude Contemporary (2012 - 2014) where he was awarded the Besen Studio Artist award in 2014. He has participated in residencies including the Upernavik Museum, Greenland and SÍM, Iceland. He has been awarded grants from Arts Victoria, The Australia Council for the Arts, Copyright Agency and has been a recipient of the The Anna Lodewyckx Scandinavian Scholarship. Most recently, Miles has been awarded a grant from The Australia Council for the Arts in order to participate in a one year studio painting programme in London.
